Photoshop and I go back quite ways.....I started with version 2.5....no layers....no Layer Styles. We did everything with Channels, and everything else with Curves. Ahhh the good old days. A really good-looking drop shadow would take about 30 minutes!
There are lots of self-proclaimed experts in Photoshop. Make no mistake. I am NOT one of them. I have carved out a corner of PS that works for me.....basically, advanced masking techniques for making complex selections. I have never used the History Brush and couldn't tell you what it does, or why. My intention is to share what I know, with the hope that someday others might gain from it, and even contribute. The web is lousy with Photoshop tutorial sites. Well, here's yet another one.
In truth creating these screencast tutorials keeps me honest. I almost always find I need to confirm something that I'm presenting in a tutorial, which means research, which means learning. Sort of a win/win I suppose.
Background
I don't want to go all cynical on you, but my background is totally irrelevant to the purpose of this site. I guess sharing my background would assist in imparting some cred, but I'll let my tutorials speak for themselves. You be the judge as to whether or not they're useful. The rest is bullshit. :)
